Everyday in May 16 marine pollution

Draw something that scares you......Did the theme rubbish on the beach as a page in one of my Arthouse Sketchbook pages and always wanted to explore further......but had to work this afternoon so time ran out......but you get the idea. A public holiday here tomorrow so hoping to catch up with everyone!

Thanks to my friend Dr Andy Cornish, check out his blog  at Ecozine Hong Kong if you want to know more about marine issues in Hong Kong.

Everyday in May 10 creepy

As I have drawn eight and six legged creatures in the past, I decided to take up my daughter's suggestion of sketching her wall ("sketchy Mum, I know you don't do sketchy")
Her bedroom and posters......amazing masks on this poster but they are creepy, particularly if you go in there in the dark (being a red and black room)

I've resisted drawing a spider under the bed my lovely girl, thanks for the challenge.

Everyday in May 9 lock

Lock on a shop shutter....

Everyday in May 7

Draw something you got for free.......
Draw something you got for free...vase found at the bins last night ( a Lamma Island thing, if something is not total rubbish you leave it beside the bin in case anyone else wants it), flowers popped up in a plant pot (left behind by my ex-neighbour) and a shedded snake skin (about 150cm long) that I've been avoiding drawing for about a year.....

Everyday in May 5 Pine Tree

My bedraggled pine tree on the roof...{unfinished)......bought as a Christmas tree many years ago, it really needs a big plant pot (or a home in the ground) but makes do with plastic storage box. The tree falls over in every typhoon but keeps surviving. Not sure which type it is...either a Norfolk or Cook pine......

Everyday in May 3 swimming in the rain

Pure, good to be alive, joy.
The joy of swimming in a warm sea, then the clouds burst, the rain comes down and the sea is filled with  a thousand diamonds and ripples......even better if you swim under water and look up....one day I'll do it ( but maybe with oils, a big brush and canvas.... I'm guessing).
Something I have been trying to depict (in various mediums, without great success, so far) for many years....
